Al Humphreys talks about adventure, both local and far flung

Join Al Humphreys at the Ilkley Literature Festival on October 14th for a talk on living adventurously. Part of our month-long 'Ilkley Adventure Festival' event series.

A National Geographic Adventurer of the Year, Alastair Humphreys has been on expeditions across the globe, journeying to over 80 countries by bicycle, boat and on foot. He spent four years cycling around the world, travelling over 46,000 miles through 60 countries and five continents.

From walking across southern India, to rowing across the Atlantic Ocean, to running six marathons through the Sahara Desert, learn to get out of your comfort zone and discover what it takes to take your love of outdoors to the extreme. Humphrey’s will also be exploring micro-adventures and the search for short, simple, local, affordable adventures we can all fit into our busy daily lives.

The talk will start at 7:30pm on October 14th at Ilkley Grammar School.
Tickets are £10 or £7 for concessions.
