Inspired by the North Wales climbing clothing of the 1950's and 1960's, Moelwyn is a chunky knitted jumper made from 80% lambswool and blended with nylon.
Wool is nature’s great insulator with properties like natural moisture management and temperature regulation that make it an ideal midlayer for outdoor activities. Added nylon improves the drying time and gives the Moelwyn a softer feel.
A thick, open knit traps lots of toasty insulating air in still conditions or under a shell, but is still incredibly breathable. A fitted active cut with a ribbed hem and cuffs also enables easy layering and the stretch of the knit allows you to move unimpeded.
Unlike that ripe old fleece you keep forgetting to wash, wool is naturally odour resistant. In fact, an airing-out in a stiff breeze is all you’ll need to do to look after your Moelwyn most of the time.
Not forgetting that wool is 100% natural, biodegradable and renewable (sheep produce new fleece and sheep produce new sheep... usually in spring... they gambol... you know all this...) – what's not to like?
