I have bikepacked with this a lot I really recommend it.. It's fabulous, it's spacious I can't recommend it enough. It does fit in between my handlebars so that makes it more versatile for different bikepacking setups rather than just have it in the saddle bag.
What makes the Soloist especially good for bikepacking are its short poles for easy stowage between her handlebars and stability in poor weather. Infact Julie chooses the Soloist over the lighter Big Agnes as insurance against the variable weather she could expect on Dartmoor. A reminder lighter isn't always best.
