In 2024, we proudly announced that Alpkit had achieved B Corporation certification with a score of 122.6. Recognition that reflected decades of trying to do business the right way.
Today, under new ownership, we are entering the next stage of that journey.
As part of this transition, we are required to recertify as a B Corp. We welcome that. Certification was never something we viewed as a badge to achieve and move on from. It is a framework that continually challenges us to improve how we operate, how we make decisions, and how we balance profit with purpose.
Sustainability is still at the core
Buy once, buy well has been Alpkit's philosophy from the start. We have always believed that quality, durability and responsible production go hand in hand. Products made thoughtfully, with better materials and trusted manufacturing partners, perform better, last longer and reduce waste.
Repairability, longevity and responsible sourcing remain central to how we develop our gear. Like the B Corp framework itself, we know there is no finish line. There is always more to do.
Why B Corp still matters
What makes B Corp different is that it looks at the whole business, not just individual products or marketing claims. It measures governance, environmental performance, transparency, workers, customers and community impact. You can read more about how we measure and report on those areas.

Being a B Corp was never about claiming to have all the answers. It is about committing to progress, transparency and responsibility.

As we begin the recertification process, our focus remains the same: keep improving, keep learning and keep reducing our impact wherever we can. We believe B Corp remains one of the strongest ways for a business to demonstrate that accountability.
