Some of our favourite adventurers and Alpkiteers are generously giving up their time to join us at Big Shakeout tent, share and discuss their latest exploits, and answer an burning questions we have about their adventures. The Big Shakeout elves are busy working on the Speaker programme for now, watch this space for a taster of what's to come!
The Big Shakeout will feature some of the best films from the festival circuit this year. Bring your popcorn, your pizza, your strawberry bonbons (or whatever you need to enjoy a film really...) and tune into some inspirational, edge-of-your-seat, and downright hilarious films. We'll be bringing you showreel details shortly - stay tuned!
Live music is the perfect accompaniment for a weekend of activity, here's a taste who will be bringing music to your ears at the Big Shakeout Music is the beating heart of the Big Shakeout Festival... and a great excuse for us all to let our hair down, bob our heads, and move our feet. Our talent scouts are out searching for music that you just can't help dancing to (as well as music that you can sit back and relax to). Don't worry, we'll make sure you're the first to know when the line up goes live!
At registration, we'll equip you with a Big Shakeout Mug that you can use to make the most of free tea and coffee all weekend. Hurrah for that!
Chef Jamie and the team will be serving hot and cold breakfasts, lunches, drinks and snacks on Saturday and Sunday.
Conveniently camped out just by the main stage, Ben and the team be serving drinks at the Foundation Bar (including local beers and not-so-local wines) on Friday and Saturday Evenings.
A variety of independent street vendors will be parking up to provide us with tasty meals all weekend
Set in the grounds of Thornbridge Outdoors close to Bakewell, we have onsite camping and access to their awesome facilities.
Running alongside the site The Monsal Trail is a traffic free route for walkers, cyclists, horse riders and wheelchair users.
A short ride along the Monsal Trail will see you at the home of the nations favourite tart, we dare you to leave without picking one up.
Our festival is in the Peak District, an ideal location for climbing, walking, running, mountain biking and kayaking.
Onsite camping, included with your weekend pass.
We have limited space available for camper vans, if you are sleeping in your vehicle you need a ticket.
Handy if you don't want to bring your own tent but you still want the camping experience.
This is a great option for families and close friends not wanting to camp over the weekend.
