We’re heading to the end of year celebration of all things outdoors that is Kendal Mountain Festival.

We’re heading to the end of year celebration of all things outdoors that is Kendal Mountain Festival. From the 22 to 24 November, we’ll be soaking up (hopefully not literally) adventure, culture and exploration, and getting inspired for the upcoming season. We’ll be attending the Festival as part of our Continuum project and Alpkit Foundation, hosting a kit swap and kit donation drop-off point.

As our mission to help create a circular economy, through the Continuum project we actively take in unwanted gear and pass it on directly to those that need it most. This can be anything from outdoor groups to charities - helping more people enjoy the outdoors.

Come and find us at the Festival’s Basecamp with a selection of gear to either swap for something similar, or donate to be passed on, with all proceeds going to the Alpkit Foundation. We’ll also be offering quick patch repairs for anyone who has a small tear or hole in their gear. If you need a bigger fix, we’ll happily get you booked in for a repair at your nearest store.

“We’re really looking forward to being at Kendal Mountain Festival this year, with a focus on our Alpkit Foundation and Continuum,” comments Colin Stocker, Alpkit Co-Founder and Alpkit Foundation Lead. “We know the power that communities can have to drive change and by supporting those projects and passionate activists over the years, we’ve seen the strength that can come from using the outdoors to bring so many benefits. Of course this is also made evident over this special weekend, so we’re incredibly excited to be back and looking forward to connecting with communities, new and old.”

At the Festival, you’ll also find legendary Sonder rider, Jenny Graham hosting ‘Bike Night’ on Friday evening, alongside the premiere of Sonder rider, Dan Milner’s film, Riding the Void with Alex Glasgow.

There will also be showings supported by the Alpkit Foundation, Finding Freedom: The Story Behind Refugees Rock (directed by Dom Bush) will be premiering at the Festival, and 3 Dad’s Walking will be hosting a talk.

The premiere of Capsized by Every Body Outdoor’s, Emily Williams directed by Roxanna Barry before rolling out the film tour hosted by our stores. Promoting that any body can and should be able to enjoy the outdoors. “This film is a celebration of inclusion, showing that outdoor exploration, adventure, and the beauty of nature are for everyone, regardless of size or appearance,” comments Emily Williams, Co-Founder, Every Body Outdoors, “It’s a story that reminds us all that the outdoors is a place for empowerment, for pushing boundaries, and for feeling connected to something larger than ourselves—no matter who we are or what we look like.”

Find us at Basecamp, and go nice places and do good things.
