We’ve updated our award-winning Sonder Camino

By Alex Guerrero>

We’ve launched our brand-new Sonder Camino. It’s got new geometry and new frame features for a faster, more stable and more agile ride. The Camino has won awards from roadies and trail riders. But we think sometimes even classics can be improved.

We’ve updated our award-winning, bestselling gravel bike with thoughtful, progressive details in its geometry. Every frame size is designed around a short stem. Combine this with the slack 69° head angle and every bike from small to extra-large gets direct steering and a perfectly positioned centre of gravity. So you can take turns on and off road with more confidence.

The Camino is designed for agile handling. No matter how tall you are. Larger jumps in reach between sizes mean that all bikes, from S to XL, are optimised for a 50mm to 80mm stem. So riders of all sizes get direct, snappy steering. A medium frame has 395mm reach and 170mm head tube length - and it's now a few millimetres longer than the previous XL. The new geometry keeps your weight central and super-comfortable.

The new Camino has internal routing for a dropper post for riders who want to take more technical trails. It’s specced with the latest SRAM Rival EXPLR groupset so it’s a capable, out-and-out gravel bike that builds on the success of the original.

Emma Pooley, Sonder rider, ex-Olympian and ultracyclist, broke the womens’ record for Everesting by bike. Then, for fun, she completed another Everesting. This time: a 16% gravel climb on her beloved Sonder Camino Ti.

And Neil Sutton, Sonder Product Manager, has been working closely with Sonder riders to develop the new Camino. It’s for everybody who wants to ride road, trail, bridleway and singletrack. It’s for bikepackers, for people who take on challenges big and small.

“I wanted to take stem length adjustment out of the equation. For a rider on an extra-large frame to be able to use the same short stem as the rider on the medium bike, keeping that direct steering feel. ” – Neil Sutton, Sonder Product Manager

The relaunched Sonder Camino is available now! Prices start at £869 for an aluminium full-build and £1899 for a titanium full-build. Order now for deliveries from the 28th March. Available on finance and cycle to work.
