A letter from Kenny, Alpkit Co-founder

When I get the itch for adventure I don't spend days stressing over what to pack. I reach for my favourites.

When we started we were clear on what we needed. Lightweight, functional kit that didn't cost the Earth. 20 years on and I am still reaching for many of the same products, stuffing them into the van, lashing to a bike or throwing on my back.

A Phud bouldering mat for safe landings, a Gourdon to carry stuff and keep it dry, Hunka and PipeDream for staying warm and dry when bivvying, Stingray framebag and Camino for self-supported adventures on two wheels. The list goes on.

Favourites are easy decisions that free up headspace for the adventure itself.
