The Ardent trousers come into their own for winter walking, climbing and alpinism, with considered features and a tough, warm and comfortable softshell fabric.

A choice of pockets, including 2 thigh pockets that you can get to with a harness on, make getting to your stuff that bit easier. The lower legs are gusseted to fit over mountaineering boots, with zips to pull them in so you can wear them with your walking boots or approach shoes too.

Ardent softshell trousers are protective and tough, cutting out the cold and wind and keeping you comfortable over a wider range of conditions without restricting your movements, so that you can enjoy being active in the mountains without thinking about what you’re wearing.

Ardent trousers are made from a double weave softshell with an environmentally friendly PFC-free water repellent coating. This creates a two-layer fabric to make them abrasion, wind and water resistant on the outside, yet breathable, comfortable and soft on the inside. A touch of spandex in the fabric means you’re not hindered on the harder moves, and a gusseted crotch and articulated knees accommodates even the more audacious of bridging moves.

Ardent are designed to cope with the rigours of mountain activities, whether that be high level summer alpinism or Lakeland winter days on the Old Man. The tough double weave fabric is reinforced on the knee, instep and rear with stretch ripstop to reduce wear.
