Kepler Velo Short Sleeve
$99.99
Whether on an early morning plast or multi-day tour, there's nothing more comfortable than riding in nature's technical fibre.
- Highly breathable and regulates your body temperature
- Corespun blended fabric for improved durability and fit
- Merino wool is naturally odour resistant for multiple wears
Made with a 200 gsm merino blend, this slightly thicker jersey is luxuriously comfortable with a high warmth to weight ratio to keep you warm in cooler temperatures and early morning rides. A half length zip provides easy ventilation if you do start to overheat.
Merino wool is naturally breathable and temperature regulating, keeping you comfortable all day, even in changing conditions. These properties mean the Kepler Velo makes an ideal base to your layering system, as well as a standalone jersey. Natural odour resistance means you can wear your Kepler Velo repeatedly without needing a wide quarantine zone for the smell! Perfect for bike tours when clothes washing is but a distant memory!
We’ve used Core Spun merino for our Kepler Velo jerseys, a technology with all the benefits of merino but with added durability. It’s still merino on the outside but a nylon and spandex core produces a fabric that’s harder wearing and rebounds back into shape better than 100% merino for a better cycling fit.
Kepler Velo features three rear cargo pockets: an overlap opening for your left hand, a security zipped pocket for your right, and an elasticated open pocket in the centre. A snug (but not race) fit is a more relaxed fit for more riding, with a drop tail and gripper hem elastic. Reflective tape woven into the zips helps you to stay visible and safe when you're whizzing past.

Sustainability
How It Is Made
Non-mulesed Merino
We only use merino from certified non-mulesed sources. Mulesing is a practice some farms use to guard against parasitic fly strike. We believe this practice is cruel and unnecessary and something that can be easily prevented by regular shearing.
Natural Fibre Materials
Merino wool is 100% natural, biodegradable and renewable (sheep produce new fleece and sheep produce new sheep... usually in spring... they gambol... you know all this...)
Where It Is Made
Our products are made in the best factories in the world. We know the factories personally and they have all signed up to our Code of Ethics in our supply chain. This includes the Ethical Trading Initiative base code, fair pay, safe working environments, no child labour, no modern slavery, no bribery or corruption, no materials from conflict zones and humane farming methods.
All our factories sign up to our Code of Conduct. Find out where we make our product by visiting our Factories of Alpkit factory zone.
Reducing our carbon footprint
We are carbon neutral under PAS2060 and offset our Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 operations and transport emissions. We recognise that offsetting is not part of the solution but a point to pass through on a journey to Net Zero. Carbon Neutral is just a step in that journey.
We have joined the Science Based Targets Initiative which sets independent targets for us to achieve to do our bit to limit global warming to 1.5°C. Our targets are to halve our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 2025 based on 2018 base year and reduce our total carbon intesnity by 15% every year to achieve genuine net zero by 2050.
End of life
When your partnership with this product is over send it back to us and we will pass it on to someone that needs it through our Continuum Project.
