Naturally warm. Comfortably smart.
-
260gsm pure merino wool – insulating, breathable, and soft
-
Ultrafine 17.5 micron fibres – itch-free comfort against skin
-
Loop-back fabric traps warmth and manages moisture
-
Button-up collar keeps out the chill or opens for airflow
-
Slim fit – layers neatly over a base or works alone
Layer up. Stay dry. Move freely.
Milford is ideal over a lightweight base layer on cold days, or as a standalone top when conditions are milder. When paired with a merino tee or long sleeve underneath, it creates a high-performance double layer that traps warmth, lets moisture escape, and keeps your temperature steady through stop-start movement.
The loop-back fabric adds structure and softness — with the feel of your favourite sweater and the performance of proper kit. And thanks to merino’s natural anti-microbial powers, Milford resists odour and stays fresh after multiple wears, even on multi-day trips or active travel.
Responsibly sourced. Ready for more.
Milford is made with 100% non-mulesed merino wool from farms certified to the Responsible Wool Standard. It’s breathable, renewable, and built to last — backed by our 3-Year Alpine Bond and ready to layer, live in, and rely on.

How It Is Made
Non-Mulesed Merino We only use merino from certified non-mulesed sources. Mulesing is a practice some farms use to guard against parasitic fly strike. We believe this practice is cruel and unnecessary and something that can be easily prevented by regular shearing.Where It Is Made
Our products are made in the best factories in the world. We know the factories personally and they have all signed up to our Code of Ethics in our supply chain. This includes the Ethical Trading Initiative base code, fair pay, safe working environments, no child labour, no modern slavery, no bribery or corruption, no materials from conflict zones and humane farming methods.
All our factories sign up to our Code of Conduct. Find out where we make our product by visiting our Factories of Alpkit factory zone.
Reducing our carbon footprint
We are carbon neutral under PAS2060 and offset our Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 operations and transport emissions. We recognise that offsetting is not part of the solution but a point to pass through on a journey to Net Zero. Carbon Neutral is just a step in that journey.
We have joined the Science Based Targets Initiative which sets independent targets for us to achieve to do our bit to limit global warming to 1.5°C. Our targets are to halve our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 2025 based on 2018 base year and reduce our total carbon intesnity by 15% every year to achieve genuine net zero by 2050.
