  • Store Manager - Alpkit Ambleside

    Location: Alpkit Ambleside
    Position: Permanent, Full-time
    Hours: 40 hours per week, weekend working


    Alpkit have a brilliant opportunity for someone to join our dynamic retail team. We are looking for someone special to manage our Ambleside Store. If you have a passion for the outdoors, offering great customer service from selling someone their first adventure bike, to advising on which tent packs down the smallest for bike packing & hiking adventures, then come and help us put that passion into helping people Go Nice Places, Do Good Things.

    About the Retail Team
    Our heroes on the customer front line play a huge part within Alpkit, which is why this is an exciting opportunity for the individual who loves the outdoors, loves managing a team, wants to grow a retail location, and is looking to work in a vibrant store, offering real service with personality. Think of one of our stores as a base camp, a well-equipped gear store with the entire Alpkit product range inside. We've got wetsuits to try on, UK designed and built bikes to sell, bike packing luggage to carry all our fantastic gear, and sleeping bags packed up to show their pack sizes. You can hire a bouldering mat, demo a bike, or book your tired and weary kit in for repair. We regularly run adventure events from store and we’re proud to be a space for you to come and hang out when you're soggy and tired after a full day running, biking, or hiking!

    About the role
    You’ll work as part of a growing team of incredibly passionate, hardworking retail heroes. Your job is to share your knowledge and expertise of outdoor retail, to align job responsibilities, culture, and product knowledge so the team can deliver amazing service every day.

    Repair Hero - Alpkit Kingston

    Location: Alpkit Kingston
    Position: Permanent
    Hours: Part-time, flexible hours


    What you’ll be doing
    Do you love outdoor kit so much; you want to repair it and keep it going for longer? We’re on the lookout for a Repair Hero to join our Kingston Alpkit Team. As a member of the store team, you will support the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager by repairing customers kit in our brand new designated repair station. We take pride in providing world class customer service. We’re looking for your love of outdoor gear and repairing it. Ideally, we’re looking for someone with sewing experience, or if you’re handy with a home sewing machine, get in touch!

    We have a relaxed retail environment, but we work hard. Tea (and coffee for the non-believers) is always to hand, decent music is almost always on, and we are driven by our mission to support our customers to Go Nice Places, Do Good Things.
