Or you might be a competent and experienced map reader who doesn’t get to practice your technical skills very often and would like to refresh them in a relaxed and supportive environment.
A compass is an essential item for navigating in the great outdoors, but how many people really know how to use one?! The needle points north but what does everything else do? This course will teach you that the compass is actually a simple and invaluable piece of kit to make sure you always take the right path.

We will spend approximately 30 minutes on the BSO site, looking at fundamentals of navigation on a large teaching map before splitting the group in to two teams based on experience, knowledge and ability.
