An afternoon of adventure, teamwork and shelter building.
Join us at Alpkit Inverness on Saturday 10th June, for afternoon of exploring shelter building techniques with our expert instructors.
At 1pm, we will gather at the store to embark on a scenic walk to the nearby forest, where adventure and teamwork await. The journey will take approximately 40 minutes.
Upon arrival to Craig Phadrig Forest, you will dive straight into the series of actvities focussed on shelter building techniques. The instructors will take you through all the key basics of making a good shelter, from choosing the rigthlocation to picking ou the right materials to make a strong, sturdy structure.
After covering those key skills, you will break out into teams of 5-10 and start your own shelter. At the end, the Instructors will be testing how well it stands up to the elements, with the best structure being awarded at the end.
This event is suitable for all levels of experience.
