Gravitas is one of the lightest 3-layer waterproof jackets available - a mere 150 grams for the Women’s size 10. It’s a dream to move in too with a quiet and supple fabric that’s comfortable next to the skin.
Its 3-layer fabric makes the Gravitas much more durably waterproof and breathable than 2 or 2.5L fabrics, and we’ve used an ultrafine 7 denier nylon to sandwich the super thin PU waterproof membrane, keeping you as light on your feet as possible.
With 30K MVTR breathability and 20K HH waterproofing, the Gravitas has all the performance you need to keep you warm and dry for sweaty workouts in hostile weather. A lovely, soft tricot knit backer eliminates any cold clamminess inside.
The large hood with a stiffened wired peak has a simple rear adjuster and a semi-elasticated opening so you can yank it on in sudden downpours without stopping to undo your zip. The cuffs are cut to protect the backs of your hands and feature semi-elasticated openings for comfort. It’s also been designed with minimal seams and no visible stitching throughout to reduce snag and wear points, including on the ample-sized hidden chest pocket.
Feather-light and packing down into its own pocket-sized stuff-sack, throw it in your race vest for fell runs, squeeze it into seatpacks for bare-bones bikepacks, or even clip it to the back of your harness when the weather’s looking iffy.
Best In Test Winner - UKClimbing.com and UKHillwalking.com: "Worlds apart comfort... super-light and very breathable, the Gravitas manages to balance minimalism with functionality"

Caring For Your DWR
To keep your jacket’s durable water repellent (DWR) treatment in tip-top condition, wash it regularly in pure soap or a specialist cleaner. You may also need to refresh the treatment about once or twice a year (depending on usage) using a reproofer. Using a spray-on reproofer maintains your jacket's wicking ability.
Wash on a delicate cycle at 30˚C or hand wash with lukewarm water. Use a technical wash product (like Nikwax Tech Wash or Grangers Performance Wash) or pure soap. DO NOT use detergent, fabric conditioners or softeners. Rinse thoroughly in clean water. Line dry or tumble dry on low heat. You can also use a cool iron to reactivate the DWR.

How It Is MadeThe Gravitas is treated with a PFOA and PFO free C6 DWR, cutting out some pretty nasty chemicals. However, we're still concerned about the potential impact of PFCs, so we're working hard to remove PFCs from our entire clothing range.

Reducing our carbon footprint
We are carbon neutral under PAS2060 and offset our Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 operations and transport emissions. We recognise that offsetting is not part of the solution but a point to pass through on a journey to Net Zero. Carbon Neutral is just a step in that journey.
We have joined the Science Based Targets Initiative which sets independent targets for us to achieve to do our bit to limit global warming to 1.5°C. Our targets are to halve our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 2025 based on 2018 base year and reduce our total carbon intesnity by 15% every year to achieve genuine net zero by 2050.
