An evening of exploring potential in the outdoors.

Join us at Alpkit Ilkley for an evening of stories, inspiration and tips for getting into the outdoors. Our guests for the evening will be:

  • Liv Bolton: author and host of 'The Outdoors Fix' podcast
  • Jo Moseley: paddleboarder, author and mid-life adventurer
  • Rory Southworth: trail runner and wild swimmer

  • In the first part of the evening, Liv will share tales from her years interviewing people all over the UK for 'The Outdoors Fix' podcast and book. From chats with a mountain rescue volunteer on the edge of a lake in Snowdonia, and a landscape photographer on a Lake District fell, to a paddleboarder on a Yorkshire canal, Liv has been given a unique insight into the power of the outdoors and how people have made it a bigger part of their lives.

In the second part of the evening, Liv will host a panel discussion with Jo and Rory about their outdoors journeys with some tips on how to fit more of the outdoors into the everyday life.

Before the evening starts, Liv will be heading out for a social walk on to Ilkley Moor. The route will start at Alpkit Ilkley, heading up to 'White Wells' and the 'Cow and Calf', then heading back down to the store for some coffee and cake. Setting off at 3:30pm, the route is planned to take 1-2 hours.

This is an unguided walk, so please ensure appropriate footwear is worn and waterproofs are packed.

The evening talk will start at 7pm and finish at 9pm on the 15th of April. Refreshments will be provided by Alpkit Ilkley.

Tickets cost £10 and there are 40 spaces.
